Until 2023, the Flag was for sale through the Unda Foundation, through the former website, and at various places, such as Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Lumen Travo Gallery, Nieuw Dakota, Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch and Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.

Flag of Compassion was active on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

On the former website, www.flagofcompassion.com, one could not only buy the Flag but also see all the actions the Flag was used for and the subsequent stories of people who deployed it. The archived actions and stories are once again collected on this website.

The Flag was available in two editions and sizes. One edition was distributed in two sizes, with a numbered certificate. The other one was a special, handmade edition, also in two different sizes, that came in a box with a numbered and signed certificate.

For special occasions, the Flag was produced in a monumental size. More about the production.

The purchaser of a Flag received a certificate in Dutch and English. The certificate describes the idea behind the artwork. It is also a guarantee that the work of art is authentic. This is a common practice in the art world for a non-signed work of art.
