Independence Day
We chose to center the theme of our float around the Flag of Compassion during America’s annual Independence Day celebration parade. We feel that the Flag of Compassion can circulate an appropriate message throughout our community so our fellow citizens can learn of a symbol that serves to unite humanity in a time of a hectic, disconnected society. To demonstrate to people that we have more in common than we truly realize is so very necessary; and perhaps we need these gentle reminders to encourage us all to appreciate our connections and to think about what divides.
