Stories full of (com)passion

On the 3rd of October 2011, the Flag of Compassion was presented to the mayor of Amersfoort Lucas Bolsius, in celebration of 10 years of engaged entrepreneurship and social internships in Amersfoort. During this event, Matchpoint also presented the book “Een goed Verhaal”.

If it is up to Matchpoint the Flag of Compassion will become a beautiful symbol to express a shared feeling of engagement with many different parties in Amersfoort.

It would be wonderful if soon the Flag would embrace the whole city with her golden yellow wave. By joining in and hanging out the Flag one shows one’s engagement with the city and declares one's openness to meeting worlds that often remain unknown. With the profit from the sale of the Flag and the book, Matchpoint plans to finance the initiation of a new project: De Verhalenkaravaan. Passionate residents of Amersfoort are willing to share their story once or twice per year with people with limited movement, living in institutions. They therefore cannot seek out such a meeting themselves.

Stories full of (com)passion are the bearers of an engaged society!
