Seeing the Scene is a series of video stills of Motet. In the stop-motion film, the relationship and confusion between perpetrator and victim are being questioned. This duality arises when interpreting the press photo of the moment just after Michelangelo's Pietà was attacked in 1972, which serves as the starting point for Motet.

Each of the nine chapters in the stop-motion film Motet could be seen through the eyes of one of the nine bystanders in the press photo. As such, every chapter approaches the supposed perpetrator or victim in the photo from another angle.
