This self-portrait is taken in the middle of a big sloping meadow. The grass has just been mowed and a bundle of grass in the rough shape of a human figure is carried on the lap. The cut, dead grass is the new harvest and serves as food for animals. The photograph is part of the Pietà as well as the Homeland series.
