Prix de Rome
On June 9, the Secretary of Culture, Halbe Zijlstra, awarded the first prize of the Prix de Rome 2011 in Amsterdam. The shortlist and longlist candidates together with some twenty other artists offer him the Flag of Compassion. This is their reaction to the expected vast budget cuts on culture.
