In Vrijheid Verbonden
The mayor of Utrecht, Jan van Zanen, receives the Flag of Compassion from Varamitra on behalf of the citizens of the city. Additionally, Beatrix is honored as a compassionate former queen and current princess during In Vrijheid Verbonden on January 22, 2018, in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. Since 2008 she owns no. 1/50 of the special edition of the Flag of Compassion.
As of 2005, In Vrijheid Verbonden is being organized yearly. This is a celebration and joint presentation of religions and philosophies in the Netherlands. In 2018 the celebration revolves around 'A Caring Society'.
