(Grand)mothers of the Plaza de Mayo
To commemorate Human Rights Day, on December 9, a conference is organized by the Parque de la Memoria and the Dutch Embassy in Buenos Aires. During this conference, Rini Hurkmans lectures on how her work relates to human rights and she presents sketches of the sculpture Piedad de Argentina which will be installed in the Parque in the near future.
Hereafter Carmen Lapaco, Bucarita Roa and Lita Boitano, as representatives of the Mothers and Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, and the Ambassador Hein de Vries accept the Flag of Compassion.
